Engineering Manager; the Automation Controls Engineer will be
responsible for the planning, designing, HMI PLC and robot
programming, testing, start up, and commissioning of automated
systems throughout several manufacturing industries from start to
finish.ResponsibilitiesOperate in a team environment to help meet
or exceed customer expectationsParticipate in project reviews
completing all necessary project management documents to help
ensure projects complete on time and on budget consistent with
customers' expectationsResearch and stay current with best
available technologies related to automationDesign and create
electrical machine schematics and panel layouts for automated
systems with the integration of roboticsSpecify electrical
components for procurement and/or direct modification of products
working with vendors to ensure conformance with engineering design
and safetyProgramming of HMI's, PLC's, motion controls, and vision
systemsPlan and develop offline robot programs using 3D simulation
softwareInitialize and install software on robotsSetup robot user
framesVerify and touch up offline robot path programming, I/O, and
logicTesting and debugging of automated systems prior to customer
run-off for factory acceptance and commissioning onsite at
customers facility for final site acceptanceProvide necessary
electrical controls training of automated systems to customer
personnelProvide necessary robotic program training of automated
systems to customer personnelProvide accurate electrical controls
and robot documentation of automated systemsSupport customers
automation systems both remotely and onsite if neededHelp identify
and cultivate new sales opportunities by building relationships
with existing, new, and potential customers/vendorsOther duties as
assignedQualificationsMinimum 3-5 years' experience in automation
design and programmingAllen Bradley PLC and HMI controls
experienceStrong knowledge of 2D software design tools to assist in
the development and design of automation systemsAutoCAD, AutoCAD
Electrical, and Rockwell Studio 5000FANUC robot setup and
programming experienceMaterial Handling ROBOGUIDEWelding
WeldPROPainting PaintProCRX CollaborativeVisionOctopuz 3D robot
simulation experience is also a plus!Highly motivated team
playerDetail orientedExcellent communication and project management
skillsAble to read electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic
machine schematicsAble to translate automation conceptual designs
into functional equipmentProficient user of Microsoft Office
