Job Description:
The Diversity Equity & Inclusion Analyst assists in developing
and implementing strategies to support diversity, equity, and
inclusion-related programs and initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:
The Diversity Equity & Inclusion Analyst assists in developing and
implementing strategies to support diversity, equity, and
inclusion-related programs and initiatives. Using metrics,
benchmarking data, and best practices research, this role analyzes
information, reviews insights, and prepares data for stakeholder
consumption. The DEI Analyst is adept at turning data into
meaningful narratives that are cohesive, clear, and actionable.
This role serves as division liaison and collaborator with
internal/external partners on various projects as required and
provides statistical and programming support for special projects
as needed. Implements strategies to achieve the goals for the
organization and Diversity Equity & Inclusion. Implements, revises,
and sustains policies, procedures and programs. Typically works on
projects and initiatives that span 3 - 12 months.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1. Manages the collection of all DEI-related data from broad
sources, including marketing, human resources, and employee
resource groups, to compile DEI data dashboards that inform
strategic and operational decisions.
2. Analyzes all key data inputs, including internal dashboards,
external metrics and benchmarks, and employment trends to make
recommendations on DEI priorities and practices.
3. Crafts effective, cohesive, and actionable presentations,
data-visualizations, and report summaries that measure the impact
of our programs.
4. Organizes the organizational response to and participation in
key benchmarking surveys that evaluate Goodwill's strategies, and
based on outcomes, recommends future opportunities.
5. Creates tracking templates and communications that support
strategies to address DEI priorities and concerns.
6. Identify trends in needs from business unit leaders and create
plans to address, including sourcing or providing targeted
development opportunities.
7. Supports interdepartmental collaboration with various projects
as required and the development of department liaison/resource
groups.
8. Stays current on DEI trends and best-practice training and
communication tools.
9. Project and Change Management: Effectively plans and manages own
work to reliably complete routine job responsibilities and special
assignments. May serve as a team member or subject matter expert on
formal projects or within the department. Effectively engages in
change affecting her/him, communicating appropriately with
supervisor. Follows through on learning, skill building, and
practice necessary to adapt to change.
10. Problem Solving: Light supervision; works independently.
Periodic review of work by manager or senior coworker. Solves
problems of moderate to advanced complexity; able to identify root
cause, interpret data and resolve issues.
11. Technical Skill: Understands and applies professional
principles and skills within area of specialization to modify
processes to resolve situations.
12. Community Engagement: Champions Goodwill's community engagement
initiatives and serves as an ambassador for Goodwill in the wider
community.
13. Responsible for completing other duties/responsibilities as
assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Two years of college education or experience equivalency, and a
minimum of 3 years' experience.
2. Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written
communication, as well as group and process facilitation.
3. Strong analytical and data skills; ability to translate metrics,
research, and trends into insights; ability to manage budgets.
4. Must be able to work effectively with individuals at all levels
of the organization as well as representatives of various cultures
in the internal and external community.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and web
conferencing platforms like Zoom or MS Teams.
6. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or
experience.
7. Must have excellent written, oral, and analytic skills and the
ability to be responsible with sensitive and confidential
information.
8. Must have the aptitude for independent and cooperative
decision-making as well as creative and strategic thinking.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS:
Job requires the following: remain stationary for sustained periods
of time; ability to move about to accomplish tasks; must be able to
operate a computer or similar technology, which typically involves
substantial motions of wrist, hands and/or fingers; visual acuity
to perform activities such as preparing data, operating equipment
or review thoroughness of work; ability to communicate with others
