Job Description:

OVERVIEW: The Financial Analyst will be a key member of the Finance team with responsibilities for budgeting, monthly close and financial reporting/analysis. Will help to ensure financial controls are in place and financial records are maintained in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS:

Participate in general ledger month-end close and financial reporting processes.

Provide information by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; developing financial models; presenting findings, analyses and recommendations.

Perform accounting functions and administer payroll for related companies.

Assist in annual budget preparation.

Assist with preparation of monthly and annual financial statements for management review.

Prepare general ledger entries and account reconciliations for rebate and payroll accounts.

Assist in general treasury functions (cash reconciliation, ACH payments, expense reporting and annual bank audit).

Assist in preparation of various financial reports and charts with high-level accuracy.

Work with other departments and internally within the accounting group in providing financial services support.

Assist in customer/vendor maintenance.

Create and/or maintain documentation of current processes and procedures.

Assist with various external audits as required. Provide requested items accurately and on a timely basis.

Other duties as assigned.

Experience with Quickbooks or Cognos is preferred

Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial statements, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This is a largely sedentary role, however some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

TRAVEL: Travel requirement is less than 5% of the time.

Successful completion of 4 year college degree, or equivalent, with a major in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting. Internship experience preferred.
