Position Title: Finance CoordinatorJob Function: Accounting/FinanceJob Type: Part-time to Full TimeReports To: Associate DirectorPOSITION SUMMARYThe Finance Coordinator reports to the Associate Director and is responsible for financial recordkeeping, including managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and a variety of other accounting activities. The salary for this position will be commensurate with the selected candidate's experience; a flexible work schedule is possible. LOCATION: N169 W21005 Meadow Lane, Jackson WI, 53037HOURS: 8 AM - 4 PM, days To be determined, 30 hours a week -up to Full timePAYRATE: $19 - $25IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or a two-year associate degree with an accounting emphasis.
  • Three years of non-profit accounting experience, preferred, -
  • Excellent attention to detail, procedures, processes, and policies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to handle confidential financials and employee information.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and Accounting Software preferred. -BENEFITS

    Responsible for processing and managing all accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, and monitors receivables for past due payments.Maintains an up-to-date general ledger of accounts and prepares month-end closing with timeliness and accuracy.Assists with payroll processing.Prepares and completes bank deposits and cash accounting for other locations.Assists the day-to-day operations of the finance and operations departments and with various administrative and functions to optimize workflow.Analyzes monthly and yearly activity, comparing results to budget and forecast.Assists the Associate Director in annual audit, workman's comp audit and 990 preparation, as well as compiling annual reports. Maintains currency with all FASB requirements relative to not-for-profits, and ensures compliance with all policies and procedures.Oversees record retention requirements.Acts as backup for Payroll, supports location with purchases and maintenance oversight.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe position is predominantly sedentary requiring the ability to sit, bend, stand, and walk. May require occasional stooping, reaching, stair-climbing, and repetitive motions of the hands and wrists related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard. Requires hearing, talking, handling, and grasping regularly.Driving to bank and other business locations. Specific vision conditions include close vision reading over long periods. May require lifting up to thirty (30) pounds. -SCHEDULE/HOURSThis position is 30 hours (up to 40 hours depending on candidate) weekly during normal business hours but may include some after-hour special events and fundraising activities. - -ABOUT ELEVATEThe mission and philosophy of Elevate requires this position to perform in both a professional and personable manner.
