This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cost accounting principles, job costing, and work-in-progress (WIP) accounting.Why join us?Responsibilities:1. Implementing and maintaining the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization.2. Analyzing and recommending costs and cost savings.3. Preparing and completing internal cost audits.4. Complying with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.5. Assisting in month end close of the General Ledger.6. Conducting physical inventories and monitoring the cycle count program.7. Reconciling finished goods inventories.8. Preparing detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost, and inventory, liability accounts.9. Reviewing and analyzing inventory and margin reports, conducting research, and performing analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability.Job DetailsQualifications:The ideal candidate for the Senior Cost Accountant position will have the following qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting. An MBA is preferred.2. Minimum of 2+ years of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.3. Must have a strong cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles.4. Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards.5. Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.6. Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office products.7. Strong written and oral communication skills.8.
