Review patient records and documents to ensure accuracy of information entered into billing systems. Work collaboratively with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in patient accounts. Prepare, review, and transmit claims using billing software, including detailed coding of services rendered. Engage in pre-billing patient interactions to verify insurance information and ensure all necessary authorizations are secured. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding procedures and industry compliance requirements. Manage daily logs and collaborate with the finance department to reconcile account discrepancies. Participate in regular audits to ensure all charges are accurately captured and properly documented.
