visit www.technexus.com. We are seeking a detail-oriented and
experienced Senior Accountant to join our small, entrepreneurial
finance team. This is an individual contributor role working side
by side with the VP of Finance. The ideal candidate is someone who
thrives in a fast-paced venture environment, is highly skilled in
Excel and GAAP, and can work independently with minimal
supervision. The Senior Accountant will manage day-to-day
accounting, prepare quarterly financials for internal funds,
support corporate and fund reporting, and ensure accuracy and
compliance across financial records, audits, valuations, and tax
matters. This role also offers significant growth potential, with
the opportunity to expand responsibilities across fund management,
investor reporting, and financial strategy as the firm continues to
scale. Candidates who bring curiosity about leveraging AI tools in
accounting and finance will be especially well positioned to grow
with the team. Internal Accounting Responsibilities: Prepare
financial statements, such as balance sheets and profit and loss
statements on the monthly basis. Reconcile accounts, and handle
monthly, quarterly, and annual closings. Perform financial audits
and ensure financial records are accurate. Assist the VP of Finance
in preparing organizational budgets and forecasts and assist
department leaders with departmental budgets. Communicate relevant
accounting/finance findings with senior management. Perform daily
bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger
reconciliations. Perform daily cash reconciliations and assist in
preparation of cash flow projections. Prepare drafts and assist in
annual budget preparation and monthly performance reconciliations.
Collaborate with external partners to assist in the preparation of
tax returns, annual audits, and other regulatory filings. Fund
Accounting Responsibilities: Maintain accurate financial records,
keeping track of fund investments, and ensuring accounting
transactions are completed on time. Assist and prepare consolidated
accounts, investor reporting, periodic Net Asset Value
calculations, quarterly and year-end financial statements. Assist
with the analyzation fund performance on monthly basis. Collaborate
with stakeholders for AdHoc projects and requests. Compliance
Responsibilities: Prepare regulatory reports to ensure compliance
with laws and regulations. Ensure compliance with financial
reporting and other standard accounting procedures, as well as
financial policies and regulations. Prepare drafts for the annual
audit. Education, Experience and Knowledge Requirements: Bachelor’s
degree in Accounting, Finance, with CPA Three to five years of
accounting experiencePrevious experience in Fund Accounting or
Public Accounting desired. Strong knowledge of GAAP and
understanding of the U.S. Taxation and Compliance Advanced Excel
skills, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data
analysis tools. Experience using accounting software (e.g.,
Quickbooks, F&P software etc). AI tools to streamline
accounting, reporting and data analysis is highly valued Key
Competencies: Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to
work with minimum supervision. Good written and verbal
communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
and external partners. Strong critical thinking and analytical
skills, including comfort with complex financial models and
investment metrics. Technical aptitude with advanced Excel skills
and the ability to learn new accounting systems quickly. High
integrity and discretion in handling sensitive financial and
investor information. Learning orientation with the ability to
quickly learn from mistakes and make improvements. Takes
accountability and embraces new opportunities and tough challenges
with urgency and enthusiasm. Strong decision-making skills with the
ability to think creatively and solve problems effectively.
