Celebrating over 40 years of success, ECE is one of the most
well-known and respected names in comparative international
education. Our main product, an educational credential evaluation,
is a report used by counselors, recruiters, registrars, and
admissions officers in the U.S. and elsewhere to determine how the
academic history of a foreign-educated individual matches up to
American grading scales and standards. As the demand for talented
professionals has increased around the world, hiring managers have
increasingly relied on the expertise of ECE to review the
credentials of employees. ECE is a medium-sized nonprofit
organization with just over 100 employees.
Summary: The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for strategy
and maintenance of the ECE website (ece.org.) Prepares and
exe-cutes digital campaigns with the assistance of the digital
marketing specialist. Drives traffic to the ECE website by
recommending and implementing search engine optimization (SEO) and
search engine marketing (SEM). Manages social media and works with
colleagues to develop content. Develops and posts video content.
Drives marketing automation/email marketing, data analytics, web
analytics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ECE website
Responsible for and actively directs the development,
implementation, and maintenance of the organization's website, with
the exception of the account and ordering portion and the ECE
Connection. Role is focused on marketing functions of the
website.
Responsible for general oversight of ECE's website presence.
Communicates frequently with owners of other website functions,
including operations, which owns changes to ordering content and
structure; customer care, which owns customer communication; and
IT, which owns systems integration when changes are needed.
Serves as a contact person and lead for any marketing-related
external website vendors, as necessary, with support from the
senior director of marketing and client solutions.
Uses CMS (Titan) to update website in a timely manner as needed.
Training on Titan can be provided.
Manages web content and marketing projects related to the website.
Reviews content for accuracy and when appropriate/able makes
necessary updates. Consults with vendor, IT, and organizational
leaders when significant website changes/modifications are
needed.
Monitors web traffic and recommends improvements.
Writes, edits, and proofreads new website content with assistance
from senior director of marketing and client solutions and other
organizational members.
Leads content creation and maintenance of the ECE.org blog.
Ensures documents meet established content standards and works with
developers to assess any technical challenges in displaying the
content.
Keeps abreast of trends in websites, user experience, etc., and
makes recommendations based upon this information.
Digital Marketing
Creates a digital plan and strategy to increase and drive targeted
traffic to multiple digital properties.? With support from the
senior director of marketing and client solutions and digital
marketing specialist, this role is expected to increase lead
generation through SEO improvements, paid search, email nurture
program, online advertising, and social media campaigns.
Prepares and executes digital campaign plans to support product
launches, thought leadership initiatives, and demand generation
programs.
Analyzes results and proposes improvements in strategy on a
continuous basis.
Budgets for needed tools and initiatives.
SEO and SEM
Improves SEO to drive organic website traffic.
Develops a website traffic plan and creates goals and benchmarks.
Reports on plan progress.
Optimizes web page and external copy for SEO and usability.
Analyzes digital data to draw key recommendations around website
optimization.
Social Media
Supervises all social marketing channels by providing oversight to
team members responsible for various platforms.
Conducts social media audits to analyze the success of our social
media channels or room for improvement using social listening,
content creation, posting strategies.
Manages and oversees social media content to ensure information is
consistent and meaningful across all social media platforms.
Works to enhance customer engagement in social media by
incorporating innovative ideas while consider-ing best practice
approaches.
Demonstrates knowledge and application of social media key
performance indicators (KPI's).
Makes recommendations for paid media strategy including Facebook
Ads and Google AdWords.
Video and Graphic Design
Working with colleagues, crafts clear and concise instructional
video content using standard video soft-ware (currently Camtasia)
for use in sales, marketing, and social media.
Creates compelling stories about ECE's products, services, people,
and customers through the use of vid-eo.
Creates, edits, and produces or supervises video projects while
offering innovative ideas for new video content.
Recommends promotional opportunities and appropriate deployment of
video assets.
Creates compelling graphic images (currently using Canva) for ECE's
products, services, customers, and events for use in sales,
marketing, and social media.
Marketing Automation/Email Marketing
Works with digital marketing specialist to enhance current
marketing workflows and develop new ones.
Reviews existing marketing campaigns across the business and
automates where appropriate.
Works collaboratively to ensure automated campaigns achieve sales
and company goals.
Analytics
Manages web analytics for B2C and B2B.
Supervises digital marketing specialist in marketing analytics,
measurement, and reporting strategies in support of digital
marketing performance.
Makes marketing technology (MarTech) recommendations as
appropriate.
Supervision
Provides guidance and professional development for digital
marketing specialist and digital marketing in-terns (on
occasion).
Responsible for supervisor responsibilities including time sheet
review, performance management, employee development, and
communication/ enforcement of policies and procedures.
Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Marketing or related field
preferred. A minimum of 5 years digital marketing experience
driving programs forward.
Computer Skills
The position requires knowledge of database and word processing
software, PowerPoint, Internet re-sources, CMS, Google Analytics,
Business Intelligence, marketing automation (Constant Contact and
Hub-spot preferred but not required), and email.
Foreign Language Skills
No foreign language skills are required for this position, however,
experience supporting an organization with a global scope is ideal.
ECE serves individuals, institutions, and other key stakeholders
from all over the world.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of
measure, using whole numbers, common frac-tions, and decimals.
Written and Oral Communication Skills
Ability to communicate well in both written and spoken English in
and for professional and consumer set-tings and audiences.

Work Location
This is a remote position. Wisconsin-based individuals will receive
preference. ECE is currently unable to work with candidates living
in the following states: California, Colorado, Connecticut,
Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode
Island, Washington and Washington D.C.
Some travel may be required.

Compensation for this position is $56,000 - $65,800 per year
depending on experience and qualifications.
