Job Description:

A Social Media Specialist job in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is currently available with Belcan. To be considered for this role you will have a degree in communications, English or related field, or equivalent five to ten years' experience in marketing, communications, social media, public relations, public affairs, or editorial discipline and must live within an hour of the Milwaukee area with previous experience or education in maintaining a consistent presence across all social media environments. Social Media Specialist Job Duties and Responsibilities: Develop monthly editorial calendars for each social environment, ensuring content is strategic and aligned with timely activity, including trade shows, product launches, key personnel announcements, Watermark events, programs, videos, content assets and third party news. Scheduling editorial calendar posts via company's social publishing platform; actively reviewing and working daily across all verticals as a key resource for editorial calendar content and timing, posting for trade shows in real-time, and/or posting one-off posts as information comes in from the field. Work with our partner agency, to ensure strategic campaigns, custom graphics, promoted content and social media advertising is aligned and accounted for in monthly planning and enforcing and creating suggested monthly posts for channel partners to share on their personal networks and/or business pages. Generating quarterly metrics reports for each social environment based on platform analytics; supplementing quarterly reports with other metrics (i.e., monthly metrics) based on individual need. Engage with followers by commenting, replying to direct messages, following them back (if appropriate), liking, etc. while following company's social media protocol for negative comments/messages. Triage customer service questions by directing them to the appropriate SMEs, following-up both internally and with the inquirer, and responding in a timely manner. Social Media Specialist Job Requirements and Preferences: Degree in communications, English or related field, or equivalent 5-10 years' experience in marketing, communications, social media, public relations, public affairs, or editorial discipline, reporting structure & work environment. Understands AP Style and can write technically concisely and adjust content tone by channel and can mine for content by conducting his/her own research across company resources, and reaching out to company SMEs for more information. Has ability to proactively provide status updates to internal stakeholders, responding to feedback in a timely manner, using both email and the phone to communicate Social platform knowledge and understands key B2B social platforms/approaches and is comfortable with the four primary channels of LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Must be a self-starter with healthy time management skill that can takes ownership of projects and outcomes and makes adjustments throughout the year to better serve internal clients while making recommendations for how to achieve better results; using a solutions-oriented approach to problem solving. Has the ability to build and maintain relationships - both with internal work partners and external audiences, including the media, customers and channel partners. Have a desire to expand his/her knowledge of the ever-changing social media landscape and inquisitive about our products, brands, solutions and synergies.
