highly engineered, specialized, and innovative maintenance-of-way
equipment for rail-related markets, by using mechanical, hydraulic
and pneumatic assembly techniques as well as welding, electrical
wiring and hitching on overhead cranes and jibs. Responsibilities
Assembly Principal Duties /n - Read and follow standard work,
BOM's, blueprints, routings, specifications and other
diagrams/instructions in order to build and assemble parts and
equipment in an accurate and timely fashion /n - Obtain necessary
tools and equipment /n - Handle material, tools and equipment
manually or with jib crane, performing own hitching as required /n
- Follows piping diagrams or other instructions to connect
hydraulic/pneumatic hosing or piping accurately and timely /n -
Maintain high quality standards /n - Consistently maintains level
of productivitiy as determined by management /n - Spray paint parts
as required /n - Layout, cut and fit parts as required to weld in
place /n - Prepare machinery for shipping /n /n - Rebuild machinery
and clean, repair, disassemble, reassemble, and adjust machine as
necessary /n Wiring Principal Duties /n - Follow wiring
diagrams/schematics to connect electrical cabling accurately and
timely /n - Perform wiring sequence for point to point direct or
harness wiring /n - Wire mounting panels and junction boxes per
documentation/instructions /n - Create or re-wire harnesses and
cables per documentation /n /n Welding Principal Duties /n -
Determine from drawings, information or standard practice, the
welding sequence, type and size of electrode, machine settings and
tools required /n - Perform fit up and related layout, and welding
/n - Make allowance for distortion during fit up and weld /n -
Change gas cylinders, wire reels, cables, gas lines, wire holder
and wire /n /n General Duties /n - Follow and comply with all
safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental
housekeeping standards. /n - Ability to fabricate small components
/n - Complete production and quality assurance forms /n -
Participate actively in team meetings and group discussions. /n -
Interface with engineering to accurately communicate information /n
- Actively participate in continuous improvement activities or
events as required /n - Adhere to Quality Management System
Requirements /n - 5S activities /n - Ability to read and comprehend
procedures written in English /n - Familiarity with personal
computers /n /n Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Education - H.S.
Diploma or equivalent /n Experience /n - Previous experience with
similar responsibilities /n - Trade school classes may be
substituted for experience. /n /n Technical Skills /n - Ability to
operate computer to check schedules, get prints, update
manufacturing status of jobs and update employee information,
obtain check stubs, etc. /n - Ability to read and understand
blueprints, diagrams and other manuracturing instructions /n -
Proficient in using hand tools properly and safely /n - Ability to
use electric or pneumatic and cordless tools safely /n - Safely
drive forklift using proper guidelines /n - Ability to operate a
jib crane safely /n - Ability to layout, drill and tap holes /n -
Previous experience wiring electrical boxes and panels and circuit
breaker boards /n - Knowledge of voltage systems /n - Experience
with different welding techniques /n /n Behavioral Attributes /n -
Keep tools, equipment and work area clean and orderly. Work in a
safe manner. /n - Ability to work independently and as a team
player with internal and external staff members /n - Follows
instructions as directed /n - Be self-motivated and possess time
management skills to meet production deadlines /n /n Physical
Requirements /n - Ability to regularly lift and carry objects
weighing up to 50 pounds /n - Requires full range of body motion,
using all extremities, ability to walk unassisted, normal fine
motor dexterity and normal strength /n - Normal, correctable vision
ability is required /n - Requires the ability to frequently climb,
stoop and bend. /n - Specific vision requirements include; close
vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth
perception, and the ability to adjust focus /n /n Required Safety
Equipment (Provided by company) /n - Safety glasses with side
shields /n - Steel toe safety shoes with non-skid soles ($
reimbursement from company) /n - Hearing protection as required /n
- Welding helmet/jacket/gloves as required /n - Specialty tooling

Rolling tool box, with basic hand and power tools /n Working
Conditions Manufacturing shop environment subject to moderate
noise, oil, grease and dirt. Work hours vary according to workload.
