Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This position
offers an opportunity to provide specialized speech-language
therapy in a private therapeutic day school setting dedicated to
children and adolescents with severe emotional disabilities.
Serving students aged 3 to 21, the role combines both
classroom-based and 1:1 therapy, ensuring personalized attention
with caseloads capped at 10 students per classroom. The assignment
is based at a single site in Park Ridge, IL, operating Monday
through Friday from 8:15 AM to 2:15 PM, with extended school year
sessions running Monday through Thursday. This is a travel
position, beginning ASAP through the extended school year, with
approximately 15 hours per week plus compensatory minutes, totaling
around 30 hours weekly for the remainder of the year. Key
Responsibilities: Deliver direct speech-language therapy services
to students aged 3-21 Manage a manageable caseload with both
individual and small group sessions Develop and implement
individualized education plans (IEPs) with precise documentation
Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to support
students communication goals Maintain compliance with state
licensing requirements and professional standards Required
Qualifications: Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license and
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Professional Educator
License (PEL) for school-based practice Masters degree in
Speech-Language Pathology or a related field Proficiency in IEP
writing and educational documentation Previous experience working
with children with severe emotional disabilities preferred
Availability for onsite interviews; no supervision provided for SLP
Assistants (SLPAs) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates
