What You Will Be Doing
- Responsible for Network design, strategic planning, complex
implementations and 3rd and 4th level technical engineering support
for networking systems and services. Is a
technical/research-oriented role and possesses networking equipment
programming skills.
- In partnership with the business leaders, play a role in the
strategic planning and design.
- Will be involved in the ordering, installation and
documentation of complex voice, data, and video services
technologies.
- Review of design concepts and comfortable in a research and
development role. Ability to investigate and evaluate new
technologies.
- With solid industry experience, be able to make recommendations
on select services for end users.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to Network Engineers of all
levels and promote teamwork.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Network Engineering (IP
Routing, Ethernet Switching, VPN, etc.)
- Configure and setup complex switching environments
- Configure and setup complex wireless networking that supports
open or secured access and the ability to support voice and video
applications
- Assist in the design of multi-server environments including IP
address schemes, DNS, Ether-Channel (Bonding), VLAN, VXLAN,
etc.
- Create and maintain Network documentation for use by the
network operations and support teams.
- Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service
providers, site personnel and outside vendors etc. to provide
technical assistance and support
- Supervising the administration of systems and servers related
network to ensure availability of services to authorized
users.
- Troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and software
applications to resolve operational issues and restore
services
- Troubleshoot Network performance problems using network
analyzers and packet capturing technologies
- Administration and documentation support for in-house network
monitoring solutions, proof of concept evaluations
- Project management for IT Infrastructure-related
initiatives
- Disaster Recovery simulation exercise pre-planning and on-site
support as needed
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrate hands on experience with Multi-vendor routing,
switching (Cisco, Juniper, HP/Aruba)
- Experience with Wan Optimization protocols (WCCP)
- Experience with Rules based firewalls (Palo Alto)
- Experience with Load balancer (F5)
- Experience with SDWAN technologies
- Experience in troubleshooting complex LAN/WAN and application
performance related issues
- Routing technologies and protocols (MPLS, BGP, OSPF,
EIGRP)
- VPN creation and troubleshooting (IPSEC and GRE)
- Ethernet switching technologies (creation and support of VLANs,
Etherchannel, Spanning Tree, etc.)
- Wireless design and support
- Strong Visio/documentation skills
- Knowledge of VoIP implementation and support
- Advanced packet sniffer capture and application performance
analysis skills and background (i.e. Wireshark, Gigamon, etc.)
- Ability to communicate, written and verbal, to both technical
and non-technical co-workers
- Must have the ability to multi-task and track the status of
multiple projects and issues at once
- Willing and able to share IT knowledge, solutions, and tips
with others
- Ability to document detailed procedures and processes and a
demonstrated ability to share knowledge
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and
Visio Flexible to work extended hours and weekends when required
for support and project related activities
- Domestic and International travel up to 20%
- Very proficient in root cause analysis and remediation to avoid
future outages
- Strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills
required
Education:
Bachelor's degree or 15+ years related business experience in a
fast-paced corporate environment of 5000+ users.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:
$108,100.00 - $177,870.00
Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring
range based upon geographic location, work experience, education,
and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target
incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
