As a Senior Staff Service Engineer, you will be responsible for
leading the development of advanced serviceability across the
Monitoring Solutions business, including our new state-of-the-art
solution that provides clinical intelligence at the point of need
for caregivers. This position provides exposure to the complete
product portfolio and requires communication with many
cross-functional teams within GE Healthcare.

Job Description
Respo nsibilities
Understanding both internal and external customer's serviceability
needs by direct contact with both groups through usability, on-site
visits, etc.
Driving system-level analysis of current product and system
serviceability and negotiating changes within program
priorities.
Driving commonality and platforming of serviceability functionality
and implementations across MS products.
Performing reviews for serviceability through technical design
reviews and prototype reviews.
Leading the planning, communication and execution of product
introduction strategies that ensure global Service readiness by
working with product development and service engineering teams.
Leading a team to define procedures for installation, corrective
maintenance, preventive maintenance, and field modifications, while
focusing on increasing efficiency of the procedures via automating
or eliminating unnecessary steps.
Coordinating service validation and usability activities across MS
products that require USA representation.
Analyzing pilot site and IB feedback and leading a team for
corrective and preventative action processes, as required.
Deriving solutions that span the MS portfolio to solve common
issues and pro-actively improve the customer experience.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Explains
difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus.
Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics
within field.
Maintaining effective quality systems compliant with GE HealthCare
Quality policies.
Developing continuous system-level and MS product level improvement
activities by driving the implementation of process and product
quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering,
Biomedical Engineering, System Engineering or closely related
discipline or an Associates degree and direct comparable product
service experience.
Minimum of 4 years of experience working on medical device
programs.
Understanding system design concepts and subsystem interactions and
interfaces.
Experience with networking (wired and wireless), computers and
operating systems, including installation and repair.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Desired Characteristics
Experience in service and repair of medical devices as a medical
device manufacturer employee or as a hospital biomedical
technician.
Experience in leading a global virtual team to agree on common
goals and deliver timely results.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or
other closely related fields.
Experience working with Linux OS, Windows OS, and VM
environments.
Experience working on Patient Monitoring products.
Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation.
Demonstrated technical leadership capability working on a product
development team.
Self-starter, energizing, results oriented and able to
multi-task.
Strong desire to drive change and improvements in processes and
designs. Excellent influencing, teamwork, coordination, and
communication skills.
Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost,
serviceability, and delivery targets.
