of the Department Manager, the CNC Setup Operator ensures the
production of company products at the highest quality and at the
lowest possible cost, meeting company policies and procedures. The
CNC Setup Operator will act in a manner that is consistent with
Gordon Aluminum’s Customer 1st Philosophy. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not
all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and
responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to
time. Pulls all necessary tools and fixtures to set program in the
mill Runs first piece to see that all the dimensions match the
print Takes the first part to QC Lab for first piece inspection
approval (Must be able to operate Portage Table) or get assistants
from Quality Tech Sets approved first piece at machine center for
reference until job is completed Make necessary notes for operator
to follow Be available to make additional adjustments if necessary
Performs any and all other duties assigned by management In

Requirements: Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an
individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of
the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or
Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
with three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience. Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and
statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry
and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions,
percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as
safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure
manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or
employees of organization. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve
practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in
situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to
interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral,
diagram, or schedule form. Physical Demands Physical Demands refers
to the level and/or duration of physical exertion generally
required to perform occupational takes (sitting, standing, walking,
lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing and pulling). While performing
the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to
stand, occasionally required to walk and regularly required to use
hands to handle, touch objects or controls. Perform repetitive
motion of fingers, hands, wrists, shoulders and upper body. The
employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms, and
talk and hear. On occasion the incumbent may be required to walk,
stop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must frequently lift
up to 25 pounds, regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally
lift up to 100 pounds. Work Environment While performing the duties
of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed wet or humid
conditions (non-weather), frequently works near moving mechanical
parts, is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock and
occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work
environment is usually moderate. Employee is expected to wear the
required personal protective equipment when on the production
