Job Description Job Description 1st and 2nd shift CNC Machinist
Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist who will be
responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC mills
and lathes. The ideal candidate will perform quality inspections
using micrometers and calipers, change out tooling, clamps, vices,
and ensure proper gauging. You will work with blueprints to produce
precision components and perform necessary part inspections using
specified gauging instruments. Responsibilities Set up, program,
and operate CNC mills and lathes. Change out tooling, clamps, and
vices, and perform offsets and zero out the machine. Conduct 1st
piece and through process quality inspections using micrometers and
calipers. Ensure the use of proper gauging for the intended job.
Understand and interpret blueprints to produce precision
components. Perform setups for new or existing components to be
machined. Obtain necessary tooling for machining tasks. Conduct
quality checks utilizing micrometers, calipers, and various gauges.
Essential Skills 3 years of experience in CNC set-ups or operating.
Proficiency in operating CNC mills or lathes. Ability to perform
quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and various
gauges. Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpretation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Siemens and
Fanuc controls is an advantage. Opportunities to learn and grow
within the manufacturing sector. Work Environment Our facility,
serving the automotive and aerospace industries, is air-controlled,
well-lit, and organized, with a slight smell of oil and metal. We
house 120 CNC machines, including various mills and lathes, all G &
M Code based with various controllers. Our training and break rooms
offer a golf simulator and hot/cold food options, enhancing a
comfortable and innovative work environment. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover Park, IL.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 -
$35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may
depend on your job classification and length of employment.
