Job Description:
Are you currently enrolled in an Electro-Mechanical or
Automation program and looking for real-world, hands-on experience?
Green Bay Packaging offers a premier internship designed to bridge
the gap between the classroom and the production floor. As an
Intern, you won't just watch from the sidelines. You will work
alongside veteran technicians to diagnose mechanical and electrical
issues, gain exposure to complex PLC logic, and help maintain a
24/7 manufacturing facility. Education Requirements Must be
currently enrolled in an Associate degree program for
Electro-Mechanical Technology, Automation, or a related technical
field. What You’ll Learn & Do ( Under the guidance of a mentor),
you will assist in the following: Preventative Maintenance: Learn
the "heartbeat" of the facility by performing scheduled PM's ,
Repairs, and checks on state-of-the-art equipment. Troubleshooting:
Assist in diagnosing breakdowns across electrical, pneumatic,
hydraulic, and servo systems. Infrastructure & Installation: Gain
hands-on experience running conduit, pulling wire, fabrication, and
installing new control systems. Automation: Apply classroom
knowledge to troubleshoot and program PLCs in a live industrial
environment. Site Support: Participate in general building
maintenance and "Jack-of-all-Trades" tasks that keep the facility
running. GMP Standards: Learn the critical hygiene and tool
accountability standards required for food-grade paperboard
packaging. What We’re Looking For Technical Aptitude: Familiarity
with reading schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. Safety
Mindset: A disciplined approach to safety, especially when working
with 480V equipment and at heights. Physical Stamina: Ability to
stay active for the duration of the shift, including lifting and
working in various outdoor weather conditions. Curiosity: A strong
desire to ask questions, learn new tools, and solve puzzles.
