Americas Sales Director (Controls)

Job Description:

Acara Solutions is helping our international heat treat process and controls manufacturer find a Director of Sales that will cover the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Brazil. They are a 37 year old growing organization. Ideally this position is onsite but they are willing to have the employee work from home within an hour's plane ride from their Milwaukee location.

This is a leadership position with up to 15 direct reports, including staff in multiple countries. Candidates should have experience in controls/automation with heat treat experience. Knowledge of heat treat and related furnace controls a must.

* Generate Sales in the US/CA/MEX/BR territories to achieve the related organization Sales targets on a yearly basis. Drive the Sales team, internal and external, to deliver on their objectives * Lead the relevant Key Accounts for the NA geography * Promote all company portfolio products and Services, in particular the AI Services * Work cross-functional to optimize project profitability and minimize product lead times

1. Act as Sales Champion

* Identify and negotiate the best deals for the organization, operational and/or strategic * Be the Sales role model for the NA Sales force * Develop in depth relationship with key customers (key account management) 50% * Stimulate cross-functional interaction with Engineering team * Manage performance, provide feedback and support team members

2. Sales Strategy for NA

* Elaborate and implement the adequate Sales strategy in NA grow company business * Promote and push the sale of AI products/services to bring AI business to a high level in NA 20% * Further implement key customer account concept * Actively work with NTS/HTS/After-sales to generate additional sales for company as a whole

3. Digital World & Marketing

* Actively contribute to and drive NA Sales digitization transition 20% * Lead the NA Marketing campaigns in coordination with the other regions and organization

4. Sales Processes and tools

* Monitor the CRM application to ensure optimum data inputs and related analysis * Convert External Sales force to company tools when relevant 10%

Required Skills / Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar technical discipline Min 15 years of sales and marketing experience, including experience in defining and deploying strategies, leading transformation/cross-functional projects and governance monitoring. International Sales experience required. Min 5 years of experience leading sales teams Min 5 years of project management experience Min 5 years of experience using CRM tools (a plus to have Hubspot) Min 5 years of experience using ERP systems (a plus to have Abas) Min 5 years working with MS Office and Outlook applications (email & Teams) Min 5 years of experience working with engineering and manufacturing on customer requirements

Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Heat treat industry experience highly desired Experience managing employees located in multiple countries Spanish and Portuguese
