Job Description:

Penny Mustard Furnishings - our growing, family-owned chain of furniture stores in the Chicago, Milwaukee and Indiana areas - is hiring a new manager to lead the team at one of our showrooms in the Milwaukee areaThat's good right?Yes, it is! Except, well, your predecessor was good at their job. Like, crazy good. If managing an upscale furniture store was an Olympic sport, they would've taken home gold, silver, bronze, and cobalt. That's right - they'd have to create a fourth medal just for them. They were the type who would be the first one to arrive and the last one to leave even with two feet of snow and -50 wind chills. They were good. But so are you, right? You have an infectious, upbeat attitude and a stronger-than-Schwarzenegger work ethic. You have a knack for making people feel like they're your friends because, well, customers ARE your friends. You're compassionate yet firm. You're obsessed with (in no particular order): meeting deadlines, tracking progress, daily coaching, metrics, books, follow-through, self-education, professional improvement, and achieving a healthy balance of professionalism and job-appropriate shenanigans.Yeah, you'd be filling some big shoes. But guess what Their predecessor left behind some mighty big shoes, too. Just think Shaq-sized 23's. And they clunked around until, eventually, their feet grew into them.See, here at Penny Mustard, we pride ourselves on finding the right people to fill those big, honkin' loafers. But, in the end, your shoe size doesn't matter.
