Position Summary

The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and delivery of product marketing programs and strategy to effectively promote the brand, its products and solutions. Align with the global product group and coordinate with Corporate Marketing Communications Team on product positioning, messaging, collateral development, and sales support initiatives and projects. Self-directed project management as well as partnering with marketing, sales and outside agencies and other suppliers to craft messaging and positioning of the product portfolio. Connect with buyers to become local expert on buying criteria and translation of that knowledge into the sales channel


  • Short to mid-term revenue growth focus within the target segments
  • Execution and implementation of NPD on the market
  • Local drive of AIPs, maintenance and support of the existing business
  • Develop subsegments of customer groups, Profile the group, analyze Rexnord position of 80s customers in each group. Identify 'look-a-like' prospects, and ultimately supply to both Product Managers and Sales what it takes to win at those customer types
  • Build out marketing campaigns to reach the subsegment of customer groups. Measure campaign effectiveness for continuous improvement
  • Improve Rexnord's digital marketing effectiveness for Consumer by translating features to customer benefits in our Integrated Marketing Communication
  • Lead generation and early stage funnel build
  • Demand generation - develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand the assigned product lines
  • Partner with corporate marketing communications team, vertical marketing managers and product management team to develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates your products in the market
  • Sales enablement - communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products
  • Product launch - plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Market intelligence - be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria;

      Experience and Skill Required

      • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications, or equivalent formal education and experience
      • 3-5 years marketing and/or communications experience (Business to Business, Global, Light Industrial)
      • Exhibits strong creativity and resourcefulness; and the ability to think out of the box and drive change
      • Ability to aggressively create innovative product marketing programs that generate results in a timely manner.
      • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) new insight and ideas within a global, cross-functional team environment.
      • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in competing priority situations
      • Ability to work independently and on cross-functional teams
      • Ability to manage multiple projects
      • Demonstrate excellence in verbal and written communication skills
      • Demonstrate excellence in editing, proofing, writing and design concept skills
      • Expert proficiency with MS Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
      • Ability to travel up to 10%
      • Experience in similar industry
      • Experience supporting a large regional sales force (e.g., North America - US and Canada)
      • Experience in an SAP master data management environment
      • Experience with CRM systems
