Job Description:

Provides the operational direction and management for software applications and engineers for the HIT Data Integration team, which includes the planning, development, operations, and support of projects requiring real-time data integration. Serves as the key delivery owner in the relationship with operational leaders that are the primary users of the applications. Collaborate on and contribute to solution strategies for the operational area maximizing the use of information technology.Major Responsibilities:Responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and operation of the HIT data Integration team, recommending and justifying improved systems, contributing to priorities for system implementation, staffing resources, and developing the conceptual design for each improved application.Ensures that applications are designed and interfaced in a manner, which satisfies the users of the systems, and that all information is maintained, accessible, and integrated to satisfy both providers and users. Serves as the primary contract for operational leadership in the corresponding application areas.Responsible for executing and providing the results and conclusions of all phases of system applications, as defined by the long-range systems plan and the conceptual design, are accomplished according to established time frames. Communicates accordingly with various users, committees, and affiliates related to system plans, designs, and project status.Responsible for documenting and coordinating all existing data integrations and scoping, resourcing, planning and execution of any new data integration project.Assists with the resourcing and capacity of the data integration team and establishes and maintains vendor relationships with downstream partners.Oversees the development, execution, administration, and evaluation of information systems processes and mechanisms to support the mission, vision, values, and strategic initiatives.Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws applicable to the organization's business.Education Required:Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.Experience Required:Typically requires 5 years of experience in information systems, solution design, systems development, implementation and installation within a complex environment. Includes 1 year of supervisory experience in project management, information system teams or managing multi-discipline work teams.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through day-to-day management, and advanced project management skills.Knowledge of effective best practice in information systems operations, regulations and guidelines.Skills and demonstrated experience in establishing excellent working relationships and partnering with various teams.Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
