FUNCTION: Responsible for managing sales, applications engineering,
product development, and promotion of Yamato Checkweighers. This
includes assessment, creation and implementation of strategies and
tactics needed to achieve goals as outlined by company
management.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Assist agents, OEMs, and Direct
Salespeople in their sales efforts (providing technical expertise),
training them, and managing their targets and evaluating their
performances.2. Participates in the RFQ-Proposal-Order process.3.
Creates and maintains competitive database to assist Yamato sales
staff and agents.4. Manages USA checkweigher engineering and works
with Headquarters engineering on improvements, features needed to
be more competitive, new models required, and US sourced
value-added components.5. Create and implement strategies and
tactics needed to achieve goals as outlined by Yamato management.6.
Cooperates and coordinates with all departments within Yamato
Corporation related to activities in the industry.7. Assesses
current market situation and provides recommendations for marketing
activities to increase sales.8. Provides monthly reports and
forecasts, and other information and reports as requested.9.
Participates in quarterly sales meetings at Yamato in Mequon,
Wisconsin. Schedules and facilitates meetings with agents, OEMs,
and end users.10. Attends USA and international trade shows as
directed. Attend sales and service calls as needed. Travel expected
to be 20-30%.11. Other duties as required.SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILTIES: Sales and Applications for the Checkweigher
QUALIFICATIONS:1. Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or
Electrical Engineering (or other related disciplines). 5 to 10
years packaging or inspection system related experience and/or
training, or equivalent of combination of education and experience.
Familiarity with weighing, vision, and x-ray technology is a
plus.2. Strong leadership and organizational skills. 3. Ability to
understand and interpret engineering drawings and floorplans.
Ability to manipulate the aforementioned is a plus.4. Excellent
oral and written communication skills, self-motivated.5. Working
knowledge of Windows based software, including MS word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access.6. Must have valid driver's license
and must be insurable.7. Requires a passport to travel outside of
the United States.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing duties of this
job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.

or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and
reach with hands and arms and lift up to 20 pounds. Reasonable
