The Opportunity
The Business Manager is responsible for direct management of
assigned customers and rep groups. The Business Manager position is
accountable for managing Server growth and profit with assigned
customers through the development and execution of specific
objectives, goals, strategies, and measures of success. A
successful candidate for this role is a purpose driven individual
who is understands, supports, and is guided by Server's corporate
and business development imperatives. The Business Manager is an
expert in managing their day-to-day business yet active hunters,
always in search of improving their customers business utilizing
the many solutions Server Products offers. A customer centric
mindset is a key success factor and requires the ability to
critically think and A high performing Business Manager will
provide added value to their customers business while delivering
sales growth within their assigned operating budgets and company
spending guidelines.
Responsibilities
The Business Manager delivers assigned sales and profit targets by
increasing the company's income through sustainable top line growth
and bottom-line profitable sales.
Develops and executes 12-to-18-month business plans with clearly
stated objectives, goals, strategies, and measures, in support of
delivering the company's annual objectives.
Manages and leads assigned Reps Group ensuring alignment with
Server's growth strategy
Provide Voice of Customer and Fact-based data to qualify sales
projects that are aligned with the business unit's growth
strategy.
Understands and practices Server's six critical skill areas
(Critical Thinking, Planning & Organizing, Influencing, People
Development, Budget Management, Strategic Planning)
Owns the customer relationship by developing a value-added alliance
through aggressive account penetration across all levels and key
decision makers.
Is a top resource for product and procedural knowledge for
end-users, dealers, consultants, food manufacturers and territory
reps.
Educates and trains assigned customers and reps on Server products
features & benefits
Provide market feedback to the Customer Marketing Team and Director
of Business Development
Develops and manages sales forecasts, rep evaluation, programs,
product ideas, etc.
Attends approved trade shows, chain conferences and national trade
show.
Requirements
Minimum of 7 years sales experience, with at least 4 years spent in
the food service industry or comparable B2B sales.
Strong sales, planning and org., critical thinking, negotiation,
and follow-up skills are critical
Professional attitude, demeanor, and image
Creative, self-motivated, and sound decision maker
Ability to confront and resolve difficult situations and conflict
with key customers externally and internally while maintaining
strong working relationships.
Ability to travel domestically (estimated 20% of the time)
