Fusion Recruiters LLC, in partnership with our client SKYGEN, is in search of an experienced Director of Business Development who is responsible for securing ad retaining business through professional, consultative, and proactive sales activities. This is a remote opportunity.
The Director of Business Development will report to the Chief Innovation and Growth Officer. You will be responsible for successfully identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities to increase awareness of SkyGen and drive revenue. You will also be responsible for maintaining an effective network of potential clients in the industry to understand potential opportunities for providing solutions to potential client issues. You will develop and maintain pipeline/opportunity management, account/contact management and strategic documentation for new sales opportunities. You will serve as the primary contact for securing new business by accurately and promptly providing answers to potential customer's surrounding services, service methodologies, and pricing and working with clients to establish reasonable measurements, standards, and contract information.
Day to Day responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Coordinate resources to develop and conduct sales presentations to clients that focus on key strategic advantages while still addressing potential concerns. Ensure all team members involved are clear on messages to be shared.
  • In collaboration with leadership, effectively negotiate appropriate and profitable pricing terms for new services rendered.
  • Effectively communicate details of business relationship to appropriate internal parties to begin implementation processes.
  • Utilize data to monitor regular progress towards short- and long-term goals and provide appropriate updates to leadership.
  • Act as resource to internal team members during implementations and ongoing management to ensure accurate shared understanding of organizational contractual obligations.
  • Effectively assess competitor strengths and weaknesses on a regular basis and suggest and implement appropriate strategies to increase competitiveness during sales processes.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of industry trends and industry regulations and trends that may impact product and service offerings. Share knowledge with appropriate internal staff.
  • Provide input to internal team members on development and implementation of SKYGEN software training programs as well as future software design and feature development based off market feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with the proposal team in designing and responding to RFP's and RFI's.
  • Collaborate with Chief Innovation and Growth Officer on different strategic initiatives to better align the department for meeting organizational goals and objectives.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement though process and systematic efficiencies.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with peers and other internal resources in diagnosing and resolving issues.
  • Foster an environment that focuses on ensuring integrity, respect, accountability, and superior service.

    Education, Experience and Skills Required for Success:

    • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, information technology, business, or other related field or equivalent years of experience.
    • 5 - 7 years of experience in business development and within dental/specialty/vision industry.
    • 5 - 7 years of experience in executive level sales of enterprise technology products, ERP systems or software.
    • Knowledge of healthcare benefit administration processes and industry trends.
    • Knowledge of common sales and negotiation techniques.
    • Ability to easily develop and maintain relationships with others and maintain client relationships throughout a long sales cycle.
    • Ability to accurately assess potential client needs.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
