This critical role will champion and execute the strategies and plans that will establish strong spec share and increase retrofit sales across the target vertical. The Vertical Market Manager will be responsible for measuring and tracking KPIs aligned with business targets. Zurn Elkay brings an unmatched assortment of water solutions to the Institutional Industryand it will be the responsibility of this leader to communicate Zurn Elkay's unique value proposition across the key personas that influence the construction and ongoing maintenance of buildings including owners, architects, engineers, contractors and facility managers. This highly visible role will work cross-functionally across the organization to unify key stakeholders in the go to market strategy while delivering critical market insight and VOC. Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement strategic growth plans for the Institutional vertical
  • Conduct in-field market research to identify new opportunities and build new relationships with key influencers within the Institutional vertical
  • Contribute to lead generation and funnel building through cold calling and site visits as needed
  • Work in direct alignment with the business development team to determine their needs in the field and execute plans to contribute to their overall success
  • Collaborate across the business development, commercial operations, marketing, channel and product management teams to execute funnel growth strategies
  • Develop decision maker maps for each key target persona within the vertical and conduct market research to understand their influence and purchasing behavior
  • Develop a vertical-specific playbook that connects with the unique solutions of the entire Zurn Elkay portfolio across multiple layers of buyer personas
  • Represent the voice of the customer internally, cascading customer and market insights across the organization to influence the product roadmap and partnerships
  • Monitor and assess competitive and market dynamics within the vertical
  • Develop and optimize the product assortment and positioning strategy for the vertical to drive share and profitability gains
  • Create effective strategic marketing plans that will increase brand awareness, generate leads and fill the sales funnel with qualified opportunities
  • Monitor the effectiveness of all market growth strategies and make data-driven enhancements to drive effectivenessQualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
    • 7+ years of experience in vertical marketing, product management, product/segment marketing or related experience
    • Demonstrated track record of driving measurable business growth via strategic marketing
    • Well versed in ABM strategies
    • Prior experience in the Institutional vertical highly preferred
    • Prior experience in building materials is preferred
    • Passion for transformative growth
