Description
Job Purpose: Responsible for leading daily transportation
operations and superior customer service at all MCFI Nutrition
Services locations from ship out to delivery. This position may be
assigned to assist with coverage and leadership at any Food and
Nutrition Services location or program.
Essential Job Functions: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to

Oversees the check-in and check-out process for drivers to ensure
they are familiar with their assigned routes, complete key/gas card
sign in/out sheets, health screening forms, as needed, etc.
Ensures that the end of the day check list is complete with all
vehicles, keys, gas cards and auditing forms accounted for.
Leader for ensuring that all Drivers are providing exceptional
customer service and representing the Agency in a positive way on
the road and in the community.
Develops driver schedules and manage issues related to driver daily
assignments and communicates concerns to the Associate Director.
Serves as liaison between customers, drivers, kitchen management,
and admin team.
Provides department orientation, driver road tests, onboarding,
ongoing training, direction, supervision, and discipline as needed
for all drivers to perform essential job functions safely.
Verifies and approves payroll for each direct report
Manages the customer supply ordering system to ensure timely
delivery of supplies ordered, including entering orders into the
billing system on a weekly basis.
Works closely with the Facilities Department to ensure all vehicle
repairs and maintenance are completed in a timely manner.
Oversees the ship out process of food and supplies at all
production kitchens.
Drives and completes routes as needed.
Practices and promotes food and physical safety in the workplace
and while operating motor vehicles. Attends departmental and
agency-wide safety briefings and training sessions as required.
Routinely performs route driver audits and vehicle inspections to
ensure optimal safety of the vehicles for the drivers and others
and maintain the weekly sanitation of interior/exterior appearance
of the vehicles.
Presents, by example, the expectation of a positive attitude,
exceptional customer service, flexibility, teamwork,
confidentiality, and effective use of resources.
May provide support to other programs in the Agency with
company-owned vehicles.
Supports the Summer Food Service Program as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Performs human resources responsibilities for employees which
includes onboarding, training, coaching on performance, completes
performance reviews and overall employee morale. Recommends hiring,
terminations, compensation changes, promotions, corrective action
decisions and terminations. Reviews and approves the accurate
report of time.
Responsible for ensuring that personal actions, and actions of
employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations, and
laws applicable to the program funders, contracts, and CFI
business.
Qualifications
Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure and
Credentials: (Where appropriate, education and/or experience may be
substituted)
Minimum Required Education: High School Diploma
Minimum Required Experience: Minimum of three years' experience in
a supervisory, managerial, or leadership role overseeing
transportation services/fleet and/or logistics. Previous experience
working with individuals with disabilities preferred. Experience
with training is required.
Required License/Certification/Registration : ServSafe Food
Protection Manager Certification must be obtained within 90 days of
hire and maintained during employment. Must successfully complete
all required driver/customer service representative training within
90 days of hire, to include: Defensive Driving, vehicle evacuation
procedures, two-way communication procedures, etc.
Travel outside of office : varies, up to 100% local travel in the
communities we serve
Required Valid Driver's License: Valid Wisconsin driver's
license
Required Auto Insurance: vehicle liability insurance in accordance
with Agency policy

Ability to complete all essential functions of the driver
positions

training received.

Physical Requirements, Visual Acuity, and Work Conditions:
Physical Requirements : Ability to lift up to 50 pounds routinely
and team-lift 75 pounds, and to make motor movements necessary for
food preparation and lifting of bulk food products. Talking,
expressing, or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
Hearing, perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels
with or without correction
When completing driving routes: Reaching, Extending hand(s) and
arm(s) in any direction. Standing for sustained periods of time.
Walking, moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, pushing, pulling
and using stairs. Lifting, raising objects from a lower to a higher
position or moving objects horizontally from position to-position.
Fingering, picking, pinching, grasping items, typing, or otherwise
working.
Exerting up to 70 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible
amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull
or otherwise move objects, in a variety of situations, including
using stairs or during inclement weather and team-lift 100
pounds.
Visual Acuity : The worker is required to have close visual acuity
to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and
figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal.
Working Conditions : Must be able to withstand cold and heat
variation as well as noise levels typical to food service and
production environments.
