Job Description:
Job Responsibilities:Position Summary:Provide direct counseling
and Case Management for correctional residents under the Federal
Bureau of Prisons. Motivate residents to achieve treatment goals
and supervise Resident activities and community movements. Maintain
public safety by ensuring that all offender actions and activities
comply with the strict regulations set by WCS policy, the
correctional funding source and all other regulatory
entities.Essential Functions: Maintain assigned caseload up to 30
residents. Conduct individual counseling. Complete written work on
time, in accordance with regulatory & funding source guidelines,
including, but not limited to: Social History, LS/CMI Assessment,
Individualized Program Plan, Discharge Summary & required Reports.
Schedule required Meetings with United States Probation Officer/,
the Bureau of Prisons RRM Office, and Community Treatment Services
(CTS) Attend Staff meetings. Monitor Resident's progress toward
Individualized Program Plan Goals. Hold Resident accountable to
established Parsons House/Bureau of Prisons guidelines. Refer to
collateral services (where indicated). Attend mandatory trainings.
Other duties as assigned. Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Fill-in for absent Staff. Assist in training new Staff. Job
Qualifications:Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Cognitive therapy
knowledge/skills that address the needs of the Correctional
Offender; ability to adapt and multitask in a fast-paced
environment; meet time-sensitive deadlines.Minimal Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in social service field. Minimum of two years'
counseling experience. Clear WI Caregiver Law. Pass State and
Federal Criminal Background Check. Pre-employment health and drug
screening. Valid Driver's License, access to auto and auto
insurance sufficient to meet agency requirements. Other Job
Information (if applicable):Work Relationship and Scope: The Case
Worker has primary contact with Residents and with Staff. The Case
Worker will maintain regular contact with the Bureau of Prisons RRM
Office and United States Probation. Personal Attributes: Follow
agency Code of Conduct; adhere to established policies and
procedures of the agency and of all funding sources; conduct self
in an ethical manner; maintain professional and respectful
relationships with program staff, other WCS staff, clients, and all
external persons and agencies involved with service provision;
possess.Working Conditions: Work is performed in private offices
and conference room. The environment is a busy residential setting
where there is frequent contact with Residents, co-workers,
Probation/Parole Staff, outside professionals & visitors.Physical
Demands: Must be able to climb two to three flights of
stairs.Ability to perform CPR.First aid, Narcan, and emergency
evacuation of all building occupants in less than two minutespm21
