Job Description:
A nonprofit organization is seeking a Director/Senior Director
of Strategic Communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to
enhance the organization's reputation and reach
Manage external and media relations activities to position the
organization as a thought leader in higher education
Oversee vendor and contract management to ensure effective
communication processes
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in communications, marketing, public
policy, or related field
Minimum of eight years of experience in strategic
communications/external affairs roles, with at least three years of
staff management experience
Knowledge of the higher education sector, public policy, and
advocacy
Experience with social media, email marketing, and media relations
in the higher education sector
Foundational understanding of branding and graphic design best
practices
