Job Summary: The EHS Manager position works with the Director of
EHS to develop, direct and implement Tank Holdings EHS programs and
protocols to ensure a positive, safe and healthy work environment
for all employees.
Travel:
Required, routine travel of between 30% and 50% throughout the
United States and Canada, to support the Tank Holding facility
network.
Essential Duties:
Communicates closely with and receives direction from the Director
of EHS to ensure completion of regulatory EHS requirements and
program goals and objectives
Provides leadership and support in the development and effective
implementation of Tank Holding EHS Programs and protocols. Review
and update EHS programs annually
Develop a working knowledge of the Tank Holding manufacturing
processes and the integration of protocols to ensure a safe and
healthy work environment
Conduct regular facility audits and inspections to assure
regulatory compliance and that company programs and protocols are
effectively implemented and enforced
Coordinate the development of corrective actions and establish
priorities that will provide increased safety without significant
impact on the integrity of operations, intended purpose, or
efficiency of the company equipment and process whenever
feasible
Create, maintain and facilitate performance of an action plan to
ensure all EHS requirements are performed in a timely manner
Provide advice and practical help to ensure that plant managers are
well placed to accept and fulfill their facility EHS management
responsibilities. Assist the Director of EHS in the training of
plant managers and their delegates to ensure thorough and effective
delivery of internal training materials to employee.
Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure all employees
are properly trained and comply with regulatory requirements and
Tank Holding programs and protocols, including the development of
training materials and schedules
Oversee the joint health and safety committees, support the
committee chairperson and directing activities as needed
Evaluate unsafe working conditions and practices in conjunction
with the Director of EHS, operations team and plant management;
develop, implement and enforce controls. April 2020
Participate in all incident investigations and carefully analyze
reports to ascertain root causes and corrective actions. Organize
and maintain incident investigation records
Manage all facility OSHA 300 logs, 300A summaries and corresponding
incident reports, ensuring thorough and accurate completion
Assist Director of EHS and the human resources department with the
management of workers compensation claims
Prepare and distribute EHS metrics and accident recap reports on a
scheduled basis.

Required Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and excellent
interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and disciplined with ability to handle detail work
and multiple tasks
Possess good planning and organizational skills
Proficient computer skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
Willing to spend up to 30% of time in the plant environment with
exposure to heights, humidity, heat, noise, dust, vibration, moving
mechanical parts and equipment traffic
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related field
required; Masters degree desirable
5-7 years of EHS management in a manufacturing environment
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety
Professional (ASP) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals
is desirable
