We Are Hiring: Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room - .6 FTE (Days) At Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital we perform procedures including General/vascular, Orthopedics, Urology, GYN and ophthalmology. Our 8 operating rooms, freshly renovated in May 2020, include new system integration for more efficient flow during surgery. As an Orthopedic Center of Excellence we provide an array of orthopedic procedures including same day discharge procedures for total joints. Schedule: Currently every 7th weekend (this changes based on staffing, includes Friday end of shift to Monday morning), and up to one overnight during the week (currently 4 in a six week period Mon-Thurs) What You Will Do: The operating room nurse is an integral part of the surgical team providing quality patient care. As a circulator in the operating room, nurses are responsible for advocating for the safety and overall care of the patient. Responsibilities:

• Applying principles of sterile technique
• Coordinating Care of the surgical patient
• Communicating effectively within the perioperative team to provide seamless patient care
• Ensuring proper supplies and equipment are available for each surgical procedure
• Initiate safety measures created to protect patients including the pre-op checklist, time out, instrument and sharps count process
• Documentation of the surgical procedure What You Will Need:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wisconsin
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN); Bachelor preferred (BSN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Previous nursing experience, preferably in a surgical setting CA About Us: Surgical Services embraces a collaborative approach for treating a patient's injury or illness. The Day Surgery department is an outpatient surgical unit that provides care before and after surgery, heart catherization procedures, radiology procedures, and GI procedures. Although the majority of patients are discharged the day of their procedure, some are admitted to critical or acute care units. ProHealth Oconomowoc Memorial is certified by The Joint Commission as a Joint Replacement Center of Excellence. Offers the MAKOplasty and Anterior Hip Arthroplasty procedure to patients.
