ResponsibilitiesClinicalAssist provider throughout exam including
complex treatment, surgery, & all operatory-related careExplain
treatment procedures; seek clarification and understanding from
patientReview and assist patient in updating iPad medical
historyAssist provider with patient educationTake patient blood
pressure, X-rays and radiographsMonitor oxygen levels when nitrous
or IV is administeredMake impressions and fabricate crowns as
instructedPrepare and record clinical notes, charting and patient
recordPrepare operatory for patient exam; sterilize instruments and
disinfect operatoryOrder dental suppliesProvide coverage for Dental
Services Representatives to account for absences or high-volume
periodsJob RequirementsPrevious Dental Assistant experience or
completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferredHigh
school diploma or equivalent requiredKnowledge of state dental
practices requirements, including X-ray proficiency and OSHA
training strongly preferredEffective interpersonal skills to
maintain rapport with patients, dentists, and other staff
membersGood customer service skills and ability to work as a team
