Job Title: Health, Safety & Environmental Professional Company: Scan-Pac Manufacturing, Inc. Location: Menomonee Falls, WI Guided by Scan-Pacs family values, this position plans, directs, and implements organization safety activities to promote the health and safety of all employees. Drives continuous improvement in the workplace through program development and implementation, safety training, and promoting safety culture. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -

• Ownership of safety in the workplace daily with employees promoting best practice approaches to improve safety.
• Lead Safety Training, including new hire and monthly training programs to help employees understand and follow safety protocol.
• Head of Safety Committee, including leading monthly meetings and arranging production floor Quality Audits.
• Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures to protect employees from hazards in the workplace.
• -Overseeing safety for employees through leading by example, daily inspections, 5s, and safety audits.
• Conducts incident and near-miss investigations to identify potential hazards and recommends corrective action.
• Special projects as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Values
  • Bachelor of Science degree in risk management, engineering, safety management is preferred but related experience will be considered.

    • Must have knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality systems in a manufacturing environment.

    • Proficient with MS Office products

      • Bachelor of Science degree in risk management, engineering or safety management is preferred but related experience will be considered.
      • Minimum 3 year Experience in Health, Safety & Environmental experience.
      • Proven experience working with HSE systems with a thorough knowledge of concepts, tools and methodologies of safety management. LANGUAGE SKILLS
        • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, and terminology.
        • Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions from groups of managers/customers, and develop written proposals as needed.
        • Excellent verbal and written communications skills enabling one to write and persuasively present effective proposals. REASONING ABILITY
          • Aptitude to interpret a variety of technical instructions and deal with multiple variables.
          • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; establish facts, develops alternative solutions; and uses experience to find alternative solutions.
