Our Field Nurses bring care and compassion to BrightStar patients and peace of mind to their families by providing, personalized care to their loved ones. BrightStar is looking for a compassionate, energetic, experienced Field Nurse to provide exceptional care to our patients and their families. THIS ROLE IS PART-TIME, APPROXIMATELY 20-25 HOURS PER WEEK, VARIED TIMES & LOCATIONS WITHIN MILWAUKEE COUNTY. Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 patient care in patient's home or residential facility
• Manage and perform plan of care, consisting of infusions, wound care, etc. for caseloads varying in scope
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation, while always maintaining strict confidentiality regarding every patient's individual plan of care
• Able to work independently with patients with varied health and wellness needs; make decisions using critical thinking skills to ensure the best care is provided to every patient
• Perform all treatment and procedures as defined by the Nurse Practice Act
• Adhere to Company policies, procedures and protocolsQualifications:
  • Unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Wisconsin, required
  • 2+ years nursing experience, Previous field experience preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures, ensuring strict adherence to all health and safety practices
  • Valid driver's license, required
  • Proof of current auto insurance, required
  • Current basic life support CPR card, required
  • Able to pass TB, drug and pre-hire background screens
  • Able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, twist, reach and/or pull as needed
  • Able to lift or transfer up to 50 pounds independently or with lift assistance
