Job Title: Staff Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Ortho/Trauma Job Duration: 12 months Shift: DNR 36 Hours Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Experience: Nursing experience required, preferably in Ortho/Trauma. License: Current state Nursing License or Multi-state Nursing License (from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact). Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire. Must-Have: - Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of specific patient populations. - Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing. Job Description: - Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. - Demonstrate competency in delivering care to a primarily adult population. - Adhere to the standards specified in the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice. - Follow educational requirements, enrolling in a BSN (or higher nursing degree) program for non-BSN nurses with less than one year of licensed registered nurse experience. - Ensure acceptance into a program within 15 months of hire and completion within 5 years of enrollment, or 6 years if the program is MSN, DNP, or PhD in Nursing.
