Position Description:
The Medical College of Wisconsin's postgraduate fellowship programs
provide a structured clinical and professional education to foster
growth. The Multi-specialty Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider
(APP) fellowship program is an innovative one-year training program
that teaches APP fellows to become highly skilled in the
multidisciplinary, collaborative, and evidence-based management of
complex and challenging patients in the acute care (inpatient)
environment. The curriculum is composed of multi-modal learning
opportunities that may include the following: in-person didactics,
online classrooms, simulation, proctored procedures and/or mentored
clinical rotations. Fellows will have core and elective rotations
in the inpatient environment at Froedtert Health providing
specialty health care services within defined scope of practice in
collaboration with a licensed physician and in accordance with
MCW/FMLH policies and procedures. Core Responsibilites:

The Medical College Physician's Multi-specialty Hospitalist APP
Fellowship program is an innovative one-year training program that
teaches APP fellows to become highly skilled in the
multidisciplinary, collaborative, and evidence-based management of
complex patient care. The curriculum is composed of multi-modal
learning opportunities that may include the following: in-person

will have rotations with medical and surgical hospitalist services,
medical and surgical consultant services. Program is undergoing

eastern Wisconsin, representing more than 5.1 million patient

and community service.APP fellows receive compensation during the
program. Monthly paychecks start after the completion of the first
month of employment. The MCW fellow salary is $75,000 and paid out
as per MCW standard process. (may vary by program) Taxes and

The schedule includes majority day shift, with night, weekend and
possibly holiday shifts while in the critical care environment
Position Requirements:
Preferred Experience:Advance Practice Nurse: National board
certification preference for Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Family
Nurse Practitioner, or Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
eligible with 1 year APP practice in acute care setting. Minimum
Education:Advanced Practice Nurse: Master's Degree or higher in
Nursing
Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physician
