Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PICU role requiring current trach and vent experience and a WI or compact RN license. Responsibilities - Position is in a 44-bed pediatric critical care unit within a hospital - Care for patients from neonate through young adult with medical, surgical, trauma, and respiratory conditions - Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3 based on acuity - Shift is 12-hour nights, 1900 to 0730 - Every other weekend rotation required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) - Potential holiday coverage if needed - Float to all inpatient units including critical care, NICU, and Acute Care - Uses oscillators, ICP monitoring, EVDs, and CRRT - Epic charting experience is highly preferred - No on-call requirements - Role involves high-acuity pediatric critical care in a teaching hospital setting - May care for neurosurgical and general surgical trauma cases - Training provided for code phone if applicable - Team includes students and other clinical support staff - Professional scrubs of any color are acceptable - Dress code requires jewelry and accessories do not interfere with safety or infection control; offensive tattoos must be covered; hair must be clean and styled appropriately Requirements - Active WI or compact RN license - AHA BLS and AHA PALS certifications required - Minimum 1 year recent PICU RN experience - Recent trach and vent management experience required - Proficiency with specialized equipment such as oscillators, ICP monitors, EVDs, and CRRT is preferred - Flu vaccine required with no exemptions Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625628.
