Job Details – Milwaukee Nursing Jobs - Location: Milwaukee, WI 53227 - Assignment Length: 13 weeks (with possible extension to 16-20 weeks) - Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts per week) - Hours per Week: 36 - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1720-$1840 - Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site - Start Date: November 17, 2025 - Holiday Shifts: Required Registered Nurse Qualifications - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Wisconsin or compact state) - BLS Certification (required prior to first shift) - ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift) - Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg bedside clinical experience (2 years preferred) - Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills - Experience in travel nursing or clinical support roles is a plus Med/Surg Nurse Responsibilities - Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans - Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation - Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees - Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and interdisciplinary healthcare team conferences - Initiate discharge planning and patient/family education from admission - Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly - Promote patient and employee safety by following hospital policies and safety protocols - Support a positive work environment through teamwork, effective communication, and unit goal achievement - Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation - Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education for nursing jobs Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in Milwaukee, Wisconsin!
