Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Extended Recovery
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3rd Hours per Shift: 12 Experience:
Minimum Years of Experience: Clinical competence and experience in
the care and management of target patient populations. License:
Requires current state Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state
Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure
Compact. Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life
Support for the Healthcare Provider or an approved equivalent.
Must-Have: Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at
a level normally acquired through completion of education at an
accredited School of Nursing. Description: The Registered Nurse is
responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating
nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient
environment. This individual demonstrates competency in delivery of
care to a primarily adult population. The Staff RN job description
incorporates essential functions adapted from the ANA Nursing:
Scope and Standards of Practice. The role includes managing a mix
of patient populations, post-op, observation, hospital inpatient,
and possibly emergency department boarders. Experience with
telemetry, NIH Stroke Scale, and post-op surgical procedures is
