Job Description Pride Health is hiring a Histotechnician V – 3rd Shift to support our client’s medical facility in Milwaukee, WI. This is a 3-month assignment and it's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Job Summary: We are hiring a Histotechnician to support our client, in their busy, high-volume setting in Milwaukee, WI . This is a full-time, 3rd-shift role supporting critical clinical and diagnostic histology operations. The ideal candidate is precise, efficient, comfortable in a production-style environment, and open to potential conversion to a permanent role after the 181-day period (depending on performance, fit, and available openings). Key Responsibilities: Perform routine histology tasks including embedding, microtomy, and slide preparation Cut 20–30 paraffin blocks per hour with high accuracy and consistency Embed 20–30 tissue blocks per hour, ensuring correct tissue orientation Follow established SOPs and quality standards for slide production Maintain equipment, troubleshoot minor issues, and ensure a safe work environment Collaborate with the histology team to support workflow and daily production targets Prepare and organize specimens, blocks, and slides for downstream review Skills & Qualifications : Histotechnician experience is required Proficiency in: Embedding (required) Microtomy (required) Ability to meet productivity expectations: Cutting: 20–30 blocks/hour Embedding: 20–30 blocks/hour Additional Information: Location: Milwaukee, WI Job Type: 03 Months (Contract to Hire) Pay Range : $30 - $34 hourly (Including Shift Differential) Shifts: 3rd Shift | 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM | Full-Time *Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
