Phlebotomist-Float at Labcorp summary: A Float Phlebotomist at Labcorp performs blood collection via venipuncture and capillary techniques for diverse patient groups across multiple clinic locations. This role involves specimen collection for various tests, data entry, billing processing, and providing exceptional patient care. As a Float Phlebotomist, you will have the opportunity to quickly gain a vast amount of experience. You will be working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/locations. Work Schedule: Wil work 8 hr shifts between 12:00PM & 10:30PM Monday-Friday and every other weekend. Hours will vary dependent on the site being covered. Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement Work Location: Milwaukee region Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only. For more detailed information, please click here Job Responsibilities: Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience as a phlebotomist is preferred May train candidates that have experience in a healthcare setting Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportation Must be at least 21 years’ old Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Flexibility to work overtime as needed Able to pass a standardized color blindness test If you're looking for a career that offers opportunities for growth, continual development, professional challenge and the chance to make a real difference, apply today!
