Nurse - Location: Wausau, Wisconsin 54401 - Healthcare Setting:
Neuro ICU (8-bed critical care unit) - Contract Length: 10-week
travel nursing contract - Start Date: September 22, 2025 - Shift:
12-hour day/night variable shifts - Hours per Week: 48 guaranteed -
Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100 - $2250 - Weekend/Holiday Rotation:
Every other weekend and holiday - Float Requirements: Float between
Neuro Critical Care ICU, MSICU, and other critical care units
Registered Nurse Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing
experience (Neuro ICU or Med/Surg ICU preferred) - Previous travel
nurse assignment preferred - Active Wisconsin RN License - BLS and
ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) - NIHSS
certification preferred - Proficiency with EPIC charting system -
Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing - Experience with EVDs
and ICP monitoring preferred - Strong neuro assessment skills and
ability to manage change ICU Nurse Responsibilities - Deliver
high-quality care to Neuro ICU patients, including stroke,
traumatic brain injury (TBI), head injury, and neurosurgery cases -
Perform advanced neuro assessments and bedside ICU procedures (line
placement, intubation) - Assist with neuro-specific procedures such
as bolt and drain placements with neurosurgery - Float between
Neuro ICU, MSICU, and other critical care units as needed -
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize
patient outcomes - Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC
electronic health records - Demonstrate adaptability, resilience,
and strong organizational skills in a fast-paced clinical
