2026 – June 11, 2026) Schedule: 3x12s Days | Every Other Weekend |
36 hours/week Position Overview Froedtert Hospital is seeking an
experienced Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) Registered Nurse for a
13-week travel assignment at a leading academic medical center in
Milwaukee, WI. This role requires strong cardiac surgery ICU
experience and the ability to care for high-acuity adult patients
in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities -
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for critically
ill cardiovascular patients - Provide care for post-operative
cardiac surgery patients - Manage advanced cardiac support devices
and hemodynamic monitoring - Collaborate with interdisciplinary
teams to optimize patient outcomes - Maintain compliance with ANA
standards of practice and hospital policies - Float as needed (ICU
first, then step-down, then med-surg if required) Required
Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience in an Academic
Medical Center - Strong cardiac surgery experience - Experience
with IABP, Impella, and ECMO highly preferred - Associate’s Degree
in Nursing (BSN preferred) - Active Wisconsin RN License or Compact
(NLC) License - BLS (AHA) required - ACLS (AHA) required Additional
Details - Shift: Day shift (3x12s) - Weekend Requirement: Every
other weekend - Float Required: Yes - Scrubs: Navy - Fit Test
