Registered Nurse Interview Profile About Facility Milwaukee, WI Level III Trauma Center Level III NICU Magnet Designation Primary Stroke Center Beds: 636 General Information OR Beds: 21 Experience: 2 Years First time travelers Further approval/evaluation from hiring supervisor; Would not recommend for first time travelers Patient Ratio: 1:1 Required Certifications RN: BLS Required Skills Neuro/ENT: Spine Surgeries (Laminectomies, ALIFs, Fusions & Discectomies), Cranial Surgeries (Tumors, AVMs/Aneurysms, VP shunts, Subdural, EVDs), ENT (Neck dissections, Sinus Surgery, Basic ENT, Tympanoplasty, Cochlear) Orthopedic: Fractures, Anterior Hips, Total Joints, Ortho Spine, Hand/Podiatry General: Breasts/Plastics, Vascular, Laparoscopic, General Oncology, GU, GYN, Robots (XI) Support on the Unit Charge Nurse, Leads, Supervisors (AMs, PMs & Weekend), Manager Charting System/Equipment EPIC Alaris Pyxis Floating Cross trained to General Main OR specialty and Urology center No floating to other hospitals/sites Orientation 1-1.5 weeks depending on Team and shift Scheduling Days: Variable start times (5:30am-7am) PMs: Depends on position Weekend Rotation: N/A Holidays: Agency can work 4(10hr) shifts OR take the Holiday unpaid On Call 30-minute response time 8 weeks call schedule (subject to change) General/Neuro/Ortho: EOS call 8-10 slots, 2230-0700: 1-2 slots, Weekend Call: 1-2 weekends PMs: 2230-0700: 5-10 slots, Weekend Call: 1-2 weekends Other Notes Scrub Color: Surgical scrubs provided by hospital Parking: Free parking available; Shuttle provided Food: Starbucks & Cafeteria on campus No Call rooms available ORRN1 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing A diverse range of assignments on your resume showcases your adaptability, versatility, and resilience.
