ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - IMC Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • 36 guaranteed hours per week for 13-week contract • Every other weekend and every other holiday schedule required • Float to all inpatient units as needed, typically to higher acuity units • May be low censused and put on call with 2-hour minimum call back • Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility • 2 years experience required with stepdown/intermediate/PCU experience mandatory • ICU experience preferred, Trauma Level II preferred • Ventilator/trach experience required • At least 1 prior travel experience required • Wisconsin RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications required • EPIC charting experience preferred • 4:1 patient ratio managing med surg intermediate care patients • Care for patients with heavy telemetry, stable weaning vents/trach, sepsis, trauma alcohol detox, GI bleeds, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, ortho trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke • Manage primary patients and insulin drips • Any color scrubs acceptable • Must be hard-working, resilient, and able to manage change well in fast-paced environment • Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred • Clinical interview services required Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 36-bed medical surgical intermediate care unit specializing in complex patient care.
