Job Description:
Ascension, a leading faith-based healthcare organization, is
looking for a dedicated RN-Registered Nurse specialized in
Endoscopy to join our team. This role involves providing top-tier,
compassionate healthcare in a state-of-the-art medical environment
as part of our commitment to excellence in patient safety and
quality care. As an Endoscopy Nurse at Ascension, you will be
integral in assisting with procedures, supporting patient recovery,
and educating patients and their families on healthcare needs
post-procedure. Prepare patients for endoscopy procedures and
assist during them as part of the healthcare team Operate endoscopy
equipment safely and effectively while monitoring patient response
Administer medication as prescribed and observe its effects,
ensuring patient comfort and safety Support the patient from
admission to discharge, focusing on personalized patient needs
Provide detailed post-procedural instructions and follow-up care
guidelines Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records Monitor,
record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions Stay
current with advancements in the field to enhance patient care and
outcomes Advanced knowledge of endoscopy procedures and patient
care Effective communication skills for interacting with patients,
families, and other healthcare professionals Strong organizational
skills and attention to detail Ability to operate and troubleshoot
endoscopic equipment Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS Certification required, ACLS preferred Certified
Gastroenterology RN (CGRN) is beneficial
