Job Description Job Summary: The Research Coordinator for Nursing coordinates administrative and clinical aspects of multiple research projects. Responsibilities: Collaborates with primary investigator, sponsor and research staff to plan, conduct and evaluate project protocols. Monitors and reports on progress of projects as necessary. Assists with the recruitment of research study participants. Manages the handling and reporting of adverse events, compliance and other participant-related issues. Coordinates the preparation and delivery of departmental communications, presentations and marketing/educational materials. Collaborates to ensure compliance with the quality assurance process and with applicable regulations and standards. Assists with responding to and preparing for site visits and audits. Utilizes critical thinking and assessment skills to manage, treat, and evaluate study subjects. Provides necessary back up support to research coordinators as needed. Qualifications Licenses/Certifications/Registration: Required Credential(s):Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Preferred Credential(s):One or more of the following are preferred: Certified by the Society of Clinical Research Associates as a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRC) OR certified by the Council for Certification of IRB Professionals as a Certified IRB Professional (CIP) OR certified by the National Association of IRB Managers as a Certified IRB Manager (CIM) OR certified by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals as a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) OR certified by the Compliance Certification Board as Certified in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC). Education: Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing required Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years nursing experience and 1 year research coordination/regulatory experience required.
