Collaborate with Department Administration to implement and maintain consistent, accurate and timely compensation consultation within each area. Assure competitive salary structure based on market fluctuations. Partner with the Budget Office during departmental budget preparation for upcoming fiscal year. Work collaboratively with HR leadership team members.Primary Functions* Provide solutions to resolve complex issues and oversee day-to-day application, communication, and implementation of compensation policies.* Evaluate personnel budget submission for each department as part of the annual budget cycle.* Demonstrate ownership over the compensation related modules in HRIS (e.g. Oracle) through the following key indicators:* Proficient in the setups for all processes within compensation related HRMS modules. Understand how the setups make the module function and the ability to modify and update setups that effect processes in the module.* Responsible for full cradle to grave documentation for all procedures supporting the business processes.* Thorough understanding of data relationships within module and how data flows through related modules.* Responsible for module testing during patches, upgrades, and fixes.* Use HRIS tools to investigate issues to provide initial direction on resolving technical problems which can impact business processes.

* Conducts salary surveys, analyzes labor market information, and assists with the implementation of wage and salary guidelines.* Manage and monitors the job evaluation system for all positions ensuring College-wide consistency in titles and wage ranges. Utilizing FLSA standards and guidelines, performs job evaluations and places positions in appropriate grades and classifications.* Assigns new titles and wage ranges based upon job evaluation results. Research and analyze market sensitive positions for appropriateness of ranges and current incumbent penetration.* Develop, manage and administer all Compensation Policy and Procedures. Collaborate with fellow Human Resource managers on process improvement.* Collaborate with departments in the development of job descriptions as well as managing the job offer process to include evaluating correct placement of candidates within ranges based upon education, experience, internal equity and external competitiveness.* Provide training to management staff regarding MCW compensation philosophy, policies and procedures.* Partner with Budget Office during budget preparation time for new fiscal year. Manage the review and analysis of the personnel budget portion of the department budget submissions. Perform college-wide analysis and makes recommendations on MCW salary structure.* Partner with Organizational Development to lead and manage the development and administration of a merit-based performance management system.* Collaborates with Talent Acquisition leaders to stay current on hiring trends and market sensitive positions as well as to ensure consistency between the administration of Compensation and Employment policies and procedures.* Manages and directs Compensation Team on daily work assignments and in project planning.* Complete special projects as assigned by senior management.Knowledge - Skills - Abilities* Ability to lead by setting an appropriate example.* Ability to manage stressful situations effectively.* Ability to set challenging yet attainable goals, and lead others toward achievement of goals.* Ability to foster teamwork.* Effective oral and written communication skills.* Ability to clearly communicate information necessary for business success.* Demonstrates ability to conceptualize, analyze, interpret and communicate data.* Ability to set and communicate priorities; effectively planning and organizing the work of the group.* Ability to successfully manage change.* Delegates work effectively. Ability to maintain confidences.* Ability to demonstrate personal integrity in all interactions.* Knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation.* Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Excel.Preferred Schedule:8am-5pmPosition Requirements:Minimum RequirmentsAppropriate experience may be substituted on equivalent basisMinimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree with a major in related field, such as business, human resources or related fieldMinimum Required Experience: 6 years of progressively responsible experience in employee compensationPreferred Experience: Previous experience in Human Resources or Finance Department, or similar occupation, Healthcare, or Higher EducationCertification: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)Why MCW?
