Payroll Specialist Full-Time, HybridMSP Real Estate West Allis, WISalary: $60,000 - $65,000MSP Real Estate is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join it's Milwaukee-based team. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for supporting employees with payroll questions and assists with additional projects and duties.MSP Real Estate/Heritage Senior Living is an ever growing company that provides development, construction and management of over 1600 units of affordable housing as well as 2500 units of senior housing, all located within Wisconsin. Join our 850 current employees in our continued growth and goals to be the employer of choice in our chosen field.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Coordinate and process 800+ person payroll using Paycom softwareCompiling data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) deductionsPolling electronic timesheets and reviewing the downloaded information for completeness and accuracy; identify and resolve discrepancies related to payrollProcessing bi-weekly transfer of payroll data to payroll systemWork with leadership to ensure accurate pay of employeesWork with leadership to ensure accurate pay of employeesContacting various employees and/or leadership for any missing informationResearch employee questions concerning paychecks and payroll in generalPulling payroll reports from PaycomDevelop policies and procedures with accounting and human resources for key payroll processes; collaborate with accounting and human resourcesAssist with additional projects and duties as neededAll other duties as assigned by the Controller or CFOMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Associate degree, Bachelor's degree; preferredPrevious payroll experience; preferredExperience with HCM software or Paycom software; preferredStrong computer aptitude, intermediate with Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookProblem Solving: identify and resolve problems in a timely manner as well as skillfully gather and analyze informationInterpersonal Skills: ability to communicate orally and in writing and manage well at all levels of the companyJudgement: display willingness to make decisions; exhibit sound and accurate judgement; and make timely decisionsPlanning and Organization: prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; and develop realistic action plansPhysical Demands and Working ConditionsThe physical demands and working conditions described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Must occasionally move boxes, office equipment or supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting.
