Enterprise Application and Architecture / The Technical Lead is a developer who is responsible for leading a development team by providing the technical direction for the design, coding, testing, and integration for a client engagement from execution phase through delivery, following the defined architectural specifications and guidelines. The Technical Lead collaborates with developers, architects, project managers, scrum masters, business analysts, and others to develop technical designs solutions to support product functionality. This role works with the architect(s) to define approaches for the technical team to deliver the working product within a given schedule. The Technical Lead has a proven track record in managing the people and activities of technical workstreams in a mid to large scale application development project. Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and present technical designs for application development from architectural specifications
• Work closely with Architect and Project Manager/Scrum Master to define and provide a cohesive solution and work plan
• Guide peers and junior developers in handling ongoing tasks as required, to keep the team as productive and efficient as possible
• Provide expertise and guidance on resolution for challenging technical problems and impediments
• Lead by example, by producing quality and timely work, building trust, allowing autonomy and guidance appropriate for individual skill levels, maintaining team accountability, and communicating the information needed to complete the work
• Prepare inputs to project management plan, task identification and definition, including estimation, scheduling, and task dependency management; Manage and update--all assigned tasks, providing--status updates, and attend all team meetings
• Provide Acceptance Criteria/Technical Requirements and Supporting Documents for technically-focused user stories; Validate and document user requirements and development of user stories
• Recommend changes to improve established application processes
• Facilitate team code reviews
• Implement security and data protection functionality, within defined security criteria
• Perform training and support activities
• Write comprehensive manuals, guides, and documents for technical team and end-users
• Mentor others on best practice design and development principles
• Maintain proper focus on immediate priorities and scope, based on sprint commitments or business plan, justifying deviations in non-technical language; guide others as needed
• Identify and escalate application issues for resolution, as appropriate Soft Skills

    • Experience with various programming languages; Significant experience with Microsoft development using Visual Studio, .NET Framework, and C#
    • Understanding or knowledge of Cloud technologies (ex. AWS, Azure)
    • Solid understanding of Internet technologies
    • Experience with Agile or Scrum development methodologies or relevant methodologies
    • Superior programming practices, provides foundation for others to follow; Highly respected as a problem-solving leader, and resource for others
    • Understanding of complex database concepts; Expertise with relational databases (ex. MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL)
    • Knowledge of NoSQL (schema-less databases)
    • Defines appropriately scoped solutions to fit problem--
    • 7+ years of progressive, relevant software development experience in a changing environment--
