Position Summary
The Technical Leader possesses the rare blend of hands-on domain skills, the ability to assess technology strategically, and leadership presence. They generally come from lead engineering roles with deep experience in the field and current keyboard aptitude, but are ready to jump into the next career phase and create significant leverage by coaching and growing a team of tech professionals, while still leading as a SME. The Technical Leader will play a critical technology evangelist and people leader role in our client's infrastructure transformation.
The IT Network Technical Leader will serve as the global internetworking technology subject matter expert. S/he will set the technical standards, yet always be exploring the new ones, keeping our client's network at the leading edge. The TL will also be the team lead, guiding, coaching and mentoring our future network stars.

-- Work on a team of engineers, technical leaders, analysts to enable new features for internal and external customers, while maintaining security and stability.
-- Prototype, design, build/deliver and steward resilient platforms for a business capability.
-- Mentor and lead others in technologies, tools, and processes. Formulate and execute a long-term talent acquisition strategy.
-- Operate in an agile capability team where quality and security are built into daily work.
-- Attack roadblocks and impediments to delivering incremental value.
-- Aggressively drive out technical debt by avoiding the way we've done things in the past.
-- Be the technical owner of Rockwell's 200+ site, $72M Network Transformation, implementing all new R&S gear, SDWAN, SD-Access, ISE, Umbrella, and Cisco Managed Services across the globe over the next 3 years.
Requirements Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree

  Preferred Qualifications:
  
  • Bachelor's or Masters in Computer Science--
    
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years management experience
    
  • Hands-on network gear configuration and troubleshooting skills (within last 2 years)
    
  • Designed/built/run international networks across more than 100 sites, spanning 3+ continents.
    
  • Coding/scripting proficiency to enable network automation.
    
  • Experience within large SaaS platforms such as Workday, SAP, MS Dynamics, Salesforce
    
  • Dabbled in scripting and automation skills. (Python, Perl, Go, Yaml, Jenkins)
    
  • Experience with Agile software development and test-driven development.
    
  • Strong listening, pragmatic feedback, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
    
  • Expertise working with SaaS, IIOT, and/or Manufacturing environments.

    Some experience instantiating cloud platforms services (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.)
    Dabbled in scripting and automation skills. (Python, Perl, Go, Yaml, Jenkins)
    Experience with Agile software development and test-driven development.
    Strong listening, pragmatic feedback, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
    Expertise working with SaaS, IIOT, and/or Manufacturing environments.
