role:The ideal candidate will manage and support API Gateway
infrastructures and troubleshoot issues reported in the API Gateway
platform. Manage deployment of API Gateway API Management platform
on-premises infrastructure and on the public cloud. - This will
also include interacting with engineering groups to assist in
designing changes to the software. We're looking for an engineer
who has a strong sense of ownership and drive. About the
team:------ We are FIS API Gateway platform engineering team. API
Gateway is the front-door of the Serverless revolution, an approach
that lets customers turn business logic and application code into
scalable, fault-tolerant production without knowing deployment
technologies, and infrastructure management. API Gateway turns
daunting tasks such as traffic management, authentication, and
authorization, monitoring and API versioning into easily
configurable steps. -Our Team is managing infrastructure which has
thousands of API and processing millions of API transactions every
day. What you will be doing?
- Manage and support API Gateway infrastructure in on-prem and on
Cloud.
- Installation, Configuration, Upgrades, and troubleshoot issues
reported in the API Gateway platform
- Automation: Enhance API pipeline scripts to support large
number of API publishing into API gateway platform
- Creating and Monitoring Alerts on Splunk and Thousand Eye
tools
- Participating in Performance tuning activities and looking for
opportunities to improve platform performance
- Interact with product managers and/or users to define system
requirements and/or necessary modificationsWhat you will need:
- 2+ years of experience with cloud technologies, virtualization
platforms and containers (Docker, AKS, etc.
- 1+ year of experience with any of API Gateway Management
Platform. Any industry standard API Management platform (such as
Apigee, MuleSoft, CA Layer 7 etc.) is acceptable however experience
with Wso2 API Manager will be preferred
- Relevant experience in a Cloud Admin or similar role,
experience in working with Microsoft Azure including Azure Logic
Apps, Azure Functions, Web Apps, AKS, Key Vaults, etc
- Strong understanding of continuous integration/delivery
practices and other DevOps concepts
- Proficiency in Java
- Understanding of Agile software development model
- Fluency in developing and understanding sequence diagrams,
class models, etc
- Bachelor's degree or higherAdded bonus if you have:
- Programming language: Python, HTLM, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery,
Ajax, - AngularJS
- Scripting: Bash, Groovy
- Deployment cycle: Jenkins, Git
- Framework Spring
- API Gateway: Experience with one of these - Wso2 API manger /
Apigee/ MuleSoft
